Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account info: email, password hash, @handle, display name, avatar, bio.
• Tip page content: anything you publish on your public profile.
• Payment info: we don't store card details. Stripe collects and processes them. We store Stripe IDs (account, customer, session, subscription) so we can match payments to your account.
• Supporter info: name (optional), email (if provided at checkout), message, and amount.
• Usage data: basic logs (IP, user-agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.

2. How we use it

To run the service, process payments, show your tip page to the public, send transactional emails (e.g. "you got a tip"), and prevent fraud and abuse. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Who we share it with

• Stripe — to process payments and pay you out.
• Our hosting and database provider — to store your account and tip data securely.
• Google — if you sign in with Google, to authenticate you.
• Law enforcement — only if legally required.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies.

5. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from your account settings, or by emailing hello@paykind.app. If you're in the EEA or UK, you have rights under GDPR; if you're in California, you have rights under CCPA.

6. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. After deletion we may retain limited records (e.g. payment records) to comply with tax and accounting obligations.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures (TLS, encrypted storage, row-level security) to protect your data. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.

8. Children

PayKind is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We don't knowingly collect data from them.
